Does Musio have an official agent API or SDK?

No. You don’t need one to experiment. Computer-use agents click the Musio plugin UI already loaded in your DAW — the same way you would. There is no official Musio agent API or SDK, and no partnership claimed with any agent vendor.

Will this compose the music for me?

You can point an agent at a session and let it go. We don’t recommend it. Compose your own music. We’re big fans when agents speed up the process — search, load, try ideas — in the tools you already know.

How do agents actually use Musio?

They operate the Musio plugin instance sitting in the session — Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Pro Tools, and other major hosts. Search, load, play in that plugin UI. Not the standalone Musio app. Optional: agents that also drive the DAW via MCP or similar bridges can pair the same session.

Do I need to buy a pile of libraries first?

Is this for experimenting, or a serious scoring setup?

Do I need Kontakt for Musio?

No. Musio is its own VST3/AU/AAX plugin. You do not need Kontakt or another sample player to search, load, and play the catalog from the plugin UI in your DAW.

What are Musio racks if I’m just trying this?
